Why Was I Charged $40!?!

When renting, you may notice a preauthorization hold on your bank statement. This is only a temporary hold unless you decide to keep the battery after renting. In that case, the charge will finalize within 2-5 business days.

If you only rent the battery, the hold will be released immediately upon returning the battery pack to any EZ Charger Rental kiosk. The final price will be calculated based on the venue-specific rates of that kiosk. Please note that while we release the hold right away, it may take some time for your bank to reflect this change on your statement.
