We collect information that you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically when you use our services, and information from third parties.
Information you provide
- Contact information — name, email, phone number, and company when you request a proposal, contact support, or subscribe to updates.
- Payment information — credit/debit card details entered at a kiosk or through our checkout are collected and processed by our PCI-compliant payment processors. We do not store your full card number.
- Communications — the content of emails, SMS messages, and support inquiries you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Transaction data — kiosk ID, rental start/end timestamps, pack ID, and amount charged.
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited on our website, collected via standard server logs and analytics cookies.
- Location data — approximate location of the kiosk you used (for service delivery), not precise location from your personal device.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from payment processors, analytics providers, and venue partners (e.g., when a venue host refers you for a rental).
2. How we use information
- Process rentals and payments, including charging for unreturned packs per the rental terms.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Send transactional and account text messages to people who opt in, such as checkout links, rental confirmations, return reminders, receipts, refund updates, service scheduling, and kiosk status alerts. Our EZ Charger Rental Alerts text program does not send marketing texts. Separately, with your consent, such as when you text a promotion keyword at a kiosk, we may send a limited number of promotional texts about that promotion (see Free Charge Offers). Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
- Send marketing emails only to people who request them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Operate and improve our kiosks, website, and services.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — payment processors, SMS providers, cloud hosts, analytics providers, and support tools acting on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Venue partners — aggregated, anonymized rental volume data for billing and reporting. We do not share individual guest identities.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
Mobile numbers and text messaging. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are shared only with the service provider that delivers our text messages, solely to send the messages you opted in to receive. All of the above categories of sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality.
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

- Correction — request correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

- Marketing email: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
- California residents — rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant partners. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Our services are operated in the United States and Canada. If you access our services from outside these regions, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US or Canada.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on our website.
